SP 5 Unit J Concept 6: Repeating Factors in Fraction Decomposition

  Things to look in this SP is that I left a lot of the work to your assumption because it is expected that you already know how to do this problem. These are just simplified steps to show how I got to my answer. Another thing to look out for is that there is no y value so when we rewrite the decomposed fraction, we only have the variables A and C left.

SP 4 Unit J Concept 5: Partial Fraction Decomposition

 Things to look out for in this problem is that I used variables to help solve this fraction. Trying to factor things out wouldn't be possible unless using quadratic formula. You should notice that I used matrices to help cancel out variables to I can find the solutions to the answer. By using RREF on the calculator, you can find the values for each variable and also check your answer.

SV 5 Unit J Concept 3-4: Matrices

Some things to notice is that to solve a matrices, you need to be able to get the triangle 0's and the 1's staircase. It is possible to use guess and check method, but that would take too long to do. Also, notice that it didn't take very long to solve because of the Gauss-elimination method which made it possible in 4 solutions. Also, remember to highlight the steps are you are doing so you don't get confused when doing a problem and make a mistake.
